Riley Wilderness Park

Riley Wilderness park is one of Orange County’s most beautiful treasures. It’s about a five¬†minute walk from our doorstep and represents yet another perk for living at 1 Pegasus Drive. Miles of paths through fields and shady areas blanketed with century old oak trees make walking through this national forest an unforgettable experience. On the approach to our home as you go through the guard gate, Riley lines the entire street on the right side adding a priceless feeling of rural beauty to Coto de Caza and entering into Coto at the Oso right gate.

It’s not uncommon to see deer grazing in the grassy meadows by the entry gate or along the trails. I’ve seen young fawns hopping across the path directly in front of me. It’s also a photographer’s heaven. Pro photos shoots occur at Riley on a regular basis. Why? It’s so easy to get to but you feel like you’re miles away from civilization. Almost every trip leaves you saying something like, “I should come here more often.”
